South Lanarkshire College pleased to announce the re-appointment of Douglas Morrison as the new Chair of the South Lanarkshire College Board of Management.
South Lanarkshire College has officially become a regional college as of 31 July 2025, following ministerial approval and the dissolution of the Lanarkshire Region. This move grants the college greater flexibility to address local, regional, and national priorities, particularly in key sectors such as health and social care, business, construction, and green industries. Principal Stella McManus hailed the change as a “transformative moment,” emphasising the college’s strengthened ability to widen access to education, tackle inequality, and support community wellbeing. The transition builds on the college’s strong record of inclusion and innovation, positioning it to make an even greater impact across South Lanarkshire and beyond. As part of this transition, South Lanarkshire College is also pleased to announce the re-appointment of Douglas Morrison as the new Chair of the South Lanarkshire College Board of Management.
