South Lanarkshire College shines as shortlisted for 2026 Scottish Knowledge Exchange Awards
South Lanarkshire College has been shortlisted as finalists for two awards at the 2026 Scottish Knowledge Exchange Awards.
As the only college to be nominated for multiple awards, the shortlisting recognised the impact South Lanarkshire College's knowledge exchange projects are having for students and the local community in South Lanarkshire.
Organised by Interface, the awards celebrate outstanding partnerships between academia, business, the public and third sectors. Seeking to recognise and reward exceptional collaborations that deliver economic, environmental and social benefits for Scotland.
The awards ceremony will take place on 19 March at the Macrobert Arts Centre, University of Stirling.
South Lanarkshire College has been shortlisted for the following awards:
Knowledge Exchange Champion
SLC’s Depute Head of Curriculum, James Jamieson, has been nominated for the Knowledge Exchange Champion award for his successful spearheading South Lanarkshire College’s partnership working between industry, colleges and communities. By championing industry-focused, college-led skills training programmes, he has overseen the expansion of new pathways to success, the advancement future-proofing industry skills needs, and the breaking down financial and societal barriers for students.
Place-based Impact
South Lanarkshire College have also been nominated in the Place-based Impact award category, alongside five other colleges, for the college-wide programme of CLIC regional innovation centres. These specialised Innovation Centres aligned with regional economic priorities and empowered local businesses with the tools, resources, and expertise needed to thrive in the dynamic and ever-changing current business landscape. South Lanarkshire College has served as the CLIC Centre for Sustainable Development.
